School Dogs Hero is our signature advanced training course designed to prepare your dog for real-life success — in homes, schools, and the community. Modeled after the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program, this course teaches the 10 foundational behaviors every well-mannered dog should master. Whether you’re training a future school therapy dog or simply want a calm, reliable companion, this course sets the gold standard.
In this course, you’ll learn how to:
- Build focus and confidence in your dog using positive reinforcement
- Practice and master all 10 CGC test items
- Apply good behavior skills to school-specific scenarios (children, distractions, classroom routines)
- Strengthen your relationship through trust, teamwork, and consistency
By the end of the course, your dog will be ready to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and become a certified School Dogs Hero — a title that reflects both exceptional manners and the heart of a true helper.
